Broken Man

I am a broken man. Running around in 40 degrees, in a skin tight rugby jersey, carrying an extra couple of stone - what was I thinking? I could have had a heart attack, or a stroke. So exhausted after the game I couldn't even face a beer. Woke up in the middle of the night with cramp in my leg. Woke up this morning with gout in my foot.
If I was horse they'd shoot me.
I'm going to have to get fit in an air conditioned environment. I'm going to have to join a gym.

  1. You don't even need a gym. A good pair of running shoes and you are good to go! Rugby is a great workout (I remember being so worn out after practice and matches). Get out and run on of days and it will help your recovery time, as well as help you lose the weight. I promise.

But what do i know? I was a lock. All i had to do was put my head down and push!

  2. Write a novel!!! The stress will have your appetite ruined in about two weeks. Also, not being able to cook helps keep that old waistline trim. Also, not being able to drive means I walk a lot... Sorry, I'm not being much help to you...

Watch a documentary about the fast food industry or abattoirs - that ought to do the trick...

  3. Don't give up! At least you won't need a gym with a sauna - just standing outside for 10 mins should do the trick.
